Autoclave

Autoclaves are essentially high-pressure, high-temperature chemical reaction chambers, and Boeing needed a heavy-duty finish that could keep up. UreGrip 3000 was an obvious choice because of its resistance to chemical exposure and heat, as well as its high gloss finish for aesthetics.

Structural Steel

This structural steel was primed with Multigrip7000. The customer wanted a shop primer with high solids and a very fast dry. MultiGrip7000 has 67 percent solids and dries to touch in less than 20 minutes at 80 degrees. Coverage is 538 square feet per gallon.

Tanker Truck Interior

When one thinks of a highly corrosive environment, the inside of a tanker truck makes a strong case for being one of the most extreme out there. That’s why we recommended our GripLine 6700HB as an interior lining. This high solids novolac epoxy lining was applied in one coat at 20 mils DFT for superior protection against the tanker truck’s chemical contents.

Pressure vessels

A Southern California manufacturer needed a reliable primer for coating pressure vessels coming off the line. What they found with MultiGrip 7000, an alkyd shop primer from US Coatings, was a single-package, easy-to-apply primer that will ensure the operation maintains its VOC compliance.

Storage tank structural steel

US Coatings recommended GripLine 6520 be applied to the structural steel supports of this storage tank before it was erected. This 100 percent solids product will provide excellent corrosion resistance for the life of the coating.

Propane Tank

When a Southern California propane tank manufacturer needed propane tanks protected, they primed with ExpoxyGrip 2000 and finished off with a UreGrip 3000 topcoat.

Gasoline Storage Tank

When Midwest Refinery needed a large gasoline storage tank lined, they went with GripLine 6520 from US Coatings. This Novolac tank lining can stand up to the most corrosive environments, making it perfect for the storage of gasoline.

Loom City Lofts Smokehouse Cap

The renovated Loom City Lofts in Rockville, Connecticut wanted their iconic smokehouse cap to reflect the building’s new look. So we went with a high solids aluminum mastic epoxy as a primer coat for excellent corrosion resistance, then finished it off with a high build urethane finish coating that’s perfect for covering large surfaces like tank exteriors.

Intermodal Container Refinishing

These intermodal shipping containers were beginning to show the wear that comes with their work.  To get them back into shape, a direct-to-metal water-based acrylic was used for a finish that would retain color and gloss well.
